Super Green Girl

Super Green Girl

Larry Jarrel, What the Flux comics, SGG concept art

Gail Giunta, created the concept of Super Green Girl as a comic book Superhero, who fights for saving the Earth from Environmental crimes. As a former elementary educator and art teacher, the original intention was to create a comic book for schools and teachers to use in the classroom to generate interest and excitement of learning science, specifically related to Ecology and environmental pollution and sustainability.

Throughout, Gail Giunta's life, various friends would jokingly call her "Nature Girl" because she would participate in various environmental clean up programs; was on the environmental committee in college; and spent her spare time rescuing wildlife that was injured. Thus the creative concept of Super Green Girl was born, as well as the fun idea of owning and taking on persona/alias was born.
